One woman, one tent, no phone, no books
How's your summer going? I've found August quite full-on with lots of new coaching clients coming my way (yay!), some fun social stuff and getting hot and sweaty in the heatwave. I'm now shifting the balance from the outward to the inward and going on a two-night solo "Nature Quest".
Just me, my tent, my supplies and the woods near Winchester. Phone off. No books. Or music. No talking unless I absolutely have to. Yep, you heard me.
I am a bit scared. Not just of noises in the night. But of the thoughts and fears that come through with no distractions from the outside world to drown them out. Why would I put myself through this?!
Because letting go is part of growing and evolving.
Letting go of old ideas of who you are.
Of what you want to give others.
Of what you thought you wanted.
Of the blocks in your way.
Wiping the slate clean brings bright, sparkly new ideas, projects and a stronger new identity into your world.
I challenge you to find some time to be alone somewhere in nature without podcasts, music or phone, this weekend. And just be.
I'll see you on the other side.
