Hi, I’m Amy. I set up Megawatt Coaching over five years ago to support senior comms professionals to evolve and align their comms careers with their true desires. Since then, I’ve coached hundreds of senior comms folk, including comms leaders at Royal Mail, John Lewis, AXA Healthcare and Ted Baker, alongside directors and board members from some of London and New York’s best-known PR agencies.
My personal journey has been my training. I started in the comms industry 18 years ago, working for one of the UK’s top PR agencies on clients like Google, NET-A-PORTER, Cisco and John Lewis. I then moved to France for five years, where I kicked off my freelance career, retraining as a coach and teaching yoga.
Most recently, I qualified as a Psychodynamic Coach, which allows me to blend subconscious shadow work, meditations and calming body awareness techniques with more traditional, results-oriented coaching.
Through my own coaching journey, I’ve found my way to a career that is good for my soul and uses my creativity and natural talents. I’ve done this while becoming a mum to a young daughter and moving to the South Coast of the UK.
Why I do this work
Comms folk are amazing people. While you might not be fully aware of your influence and value, through supporting you to do your best work and be your best self, I know there are many others who will benefit - your team, your clients, their customers, your local community and the wider world. It’s my mission to connect you more deeply with yourself, your beliefs, your values and your reason for working in this industry.
