What’s included in a Megawatt Coaching Residency?
My Coaching Residencies are designed to fit the busiest of agency schedules. One-to-one coaching is available to the whole team over a six-month period. This way, early adopters evangelise to the wider team and word spreads organically about its value.
Valuable insights from the sessions are shared with you, while protecting individual accountability, to tackle wider agency challenges, with follow-up targeted trainings and video-based resources available to deal with commonplace emerging issues.
The end result? A team of talented individuals fully committed to the future of your business and clear on their contribution and value.
The process:
Diagnosis and design with agency MD, to align the programme with your company vision, goals, culture and individual team needs
A 6 month “Coaching Residency”: Approx 8 hours a month of virtual coaching sessions available to your whole team
An on-demand Megawatt training programme based on core issues emerging from the coaching, to move through at their own pace with bitesize videos via an online platform. (Approx 4-5 hours of employee time to complete)
Open-forum, drop-in group workshops to support progression through the programme
Email support from me for team’s questions, insights and goal check-ins
What is a Coaching Residency?
On-demand employee access to coaching over a 6-month period: Sessions are booked into my diary by individuals at agreed timeslots. Fully confidential, I provide an overview of themes and challenges to the business leaders, but I will not share names of any individuals or discuss the specifics of any sessions.
If you’re an agency employee, this is your chance to get some independent, professional coaching for any type of work-related issue. It’s also a great opportunity to work with an expert on determining the direction of your career and thinking strategically about your future at the agency and beyond.
Sessions blend insightful, deep-dive conversations with awareness of the body and emotions from my psychodynamic training. This more holistic approach has powerful, immediate effects for calming individuals under extreme levels of pressure, and helping them go beneath the surface of the trigger to understand where the issue might really be.
A strong focus on business strategy and commercial goals: I use my 20 years in the comms industry to quickly grasp the scenario and advise strategically where it feels appropriate.
Common themes explored in coaching sessions include:
Personal motivation levels
Tricky relationships with clients or colleagues
People pleasing tendencies
Work/life balance struggles
Future career direction
Low confidence/imposter syndrome
Challenging business events or projects
Blocks to being promoted
High stress levels
Workload prioritisation
People management challenges
Performance feedback
What’s different about the Megawatt Coaching Residency?
An ambassador-driven model: Let’s face it, not everyone is interested in self-development work and it can be a waste of funds to offer the same half-day workshops to all. My approach helps those who are most keen and curious first, empowering them to book their own support and providing easy access to follow-up resources.
Speaks directly to Gen Z - At the core of my work is deep connection to the Self for those who want to live authentically. This level of powerful introspection particularly appeals to the younger generation, who seek to be true to themselves and their values, from day one in their careers.
A more holistic approach - I use concepts like manifestation, meditation and shadow work that access powerful insights from the subconscious to uncover deep personal truths and bring big unlocks for their careers. We also tune into information from the body, which can be very calming and provide big unlocks.
Informed by my own life path - When I was 27, I had a Quarter-Life Crisis. I walked into my boss’s office in tears. I was burnt out, confused, overwhelmed, lost and stressed. While I couldn’t find the support I needed to navigate this time, I became obsessed with the challenge of finding meaning and fulfilment in the comms industry. Since then, I’ve supported hundreds of comms professionals to gain clarity with "light bulb moments". The clue's in the name. 😉
Bite-sized, on-demand training for a busy team: The coaching can be accompanied by bespoke training videos via an online platform, meditations and helpful resources that match your individual agency’s challenges, so that stretched agency members can go at their own pace, alongside their day job.

The Career Clarity Coaching Residency is specifically designed for small-midsize comms and marketing agencies with less than 30 employees. However, if you like what you see and don’t fit this criteria don’t hesitate to get in touch as I can offer bespoke programmes for different scenarios.
-
You’ve no doubt seen how some employees will engage more enthusiastically with training and courses. For others, it can be a waste of their time and investment, if they’re not in the right headspace or don’t want to engage. My approach means that those who want to learn and gain direction on the future of their career will absorb this programme whole-heartedly. And, once they’re invested, the likelihood is they will evangelise to others who will come to it later.
-
As a guide, 8 hours of one-to-one coaching is £1000 a month, with a £1100 initial setup investment, Q&A, introductory presentation and call booking administration.
-
There’s always a chance that personal development will lead to revelations that send an employee on a new tangent that no longer aligns with their role. However, the alternative is they stay there and remain dissatisfied and not fully committed. By helping them discover their true desires, and make decisions with clarity, they will usually develop a more strategic plan that often involves them staying longer and becoming more engaged and committed to their work, rather than triggering the eject button.
-
Absolutely. It can be a great way for me to understand your agency culture and people’s needs and report key insights back to you.
-
I recommend a 6 month Coaching Residency to make a real impact on the business and its strategic needs and show employees this isn’t just lip service to their support.
The Career Clarity training is best completed in a timeframe ranging from 2-4 months.
-
All coaching sessions are within office hours. This is because self-development of this kind shouldn’t be something they do at the end of the day when they’re tired and depleted. For the training programme, my suggestion is that you allow the team to work on the modules during working hours - you can set a maximum of 1-2 hours a week if you’re concerned it will take over from client work. The great thing is it is all available for them to stream so they can choose when they do it to fit individual schedules.
-
The programme includes email support from me so they can contact me with questions about the course at any point during a six-month window. I will also review their notes and provide follow-up questions and journalling prompts for those who find this helpful.
-
Soon! Contact me directly to find out about availability to start the programme within the next few months.
-
All sessions are hosted remotely on Zoom. Each session is between 50 minutes and 1 hour. Employees book into my diary directly, making it easy for them to schedule an appointment

To survive and thrive in the agency landscape today, your business needs to support your team emotionally and mentally as well as pragmatically. Investing in a coaching residency and career clarity training is pretty unique at the moment and is a clear sign your business is genuinely committed to a culture of togetherness and long-term self-development. Plus, my experience of coaching hundreds of individuals in the industry repeatedly proves that the more agency professionals work on understanding themselves, the easier it becomes for them to make a stronger contribution to the business and to make the right decisions for their career.
-
Employee coaching sessions are completely confidential. I will share an anonymous overview of repeating themes and challenges with the agency Managing Director and never mention any names.
-
I’m open to discussing the individual needs of your team and being flexible with my offering. The best way to find out what could work is to get in touch with me on amy@amywatt.org.
-
My approach blends practical, goal-orientated success and deep industry knowledge with subconscious shadow work, meditations and calming body awareness techniques. This combination is extremely powerful and transformative. To my knowledge, it is unique in the industry. My journey and experience also set me apart. I’ve lived the work I do with my clients, finding out who I really am, aligning my comms career with my true self and establishing myself as a guide for others to find their purpose and do their best work for their agency.
-
Yes! One hour of focused time on a challenge can give a fresh perspective, renewed energy, big unlocks and a feeling of being supported and heard. It also takes some of the pressure off your senior team to “solve” everything for everyone.
-
The way I run my coaching sessions varies depending on who I’m working with and what resonates with them. Sometimes, we will use different frameworks, techniques and concepts from the traditional coaching world. I also like to use more alternative methods such as meditations, visualisations, mapping and creative conversations with the subconscious for those who are open to such practices. The best way to approach the experience is with an open mind and as a dialogue where you can provide feedback on what’s resonating, and what’s not.
-
The course contains 4 core modules and can be completed in about 6 hours. The team can go through it at their own pace via the online platform.
-
Absolutely. The first stage of the support is a diagnostic and design phase with you so that we can align the support with any core values, purpose and principles you hold, as well as your business goals.
Testimonials
-
“When you work in PR, it's very easy to just live week to week rather than focusing on your own fulfilment. Amy helped me with figuring out my purpose, being more strategic with my time and making sure I bring more enjoyment and fun into everyday working life.”
Kathryn Hegarty, Senior Account Director, Nelson Bostock
-
“Amy’s holistic approach to coaching is what makes her stand out. The mindful work I did with Amy has stuck with me years later. I didn’t just use it in the boardroom, but in everyday life.”
Maureen Conlon, Former Executive Vice President of Hotwire UK
-
“I have absolutely loved working with Amy. She helped me learn how to stay truer to my goals, better avoid burnout, and prioritize my time so I can achieve my goals inside and outside of agency life. I don't think I would have navigated this busy year as successfully without her in my corner.”
Emily Gardner, Vice President, Golin Health US
A personal note from Amy
I’ve worked in comms for nearly 20 years. I know it and love it, but I’ve also experienced a lot of frustration, isolation and pain in my career. Working for agencies , I frequently asked “Why? What is it all for?” I felt I was giving too much - time, energy and headspace - without seeing a positive impact in my life or the wider world. This left me drained, depleted and burnt out. Eventually I realised it wasn’t the industry, the agency or the work doing this to me. It was the missing information about myself.
This led me on a powerful self-development journey involving freelancing from France, training in coaching, expanding into psychodynamic practices and learning how to teach yoga to reconnect with my body.
Over the last 6 years, I’ve built a coaching business that has supported hundreds of comms professionals to many "light bulb moments".
Megawatt Coaching Residencies expands on this work offering a roadmap to getting the most from agency life. My aim is to help reduce the (all too frequent) burnout cases and bring more clarity, calm and confidence to the talented, creative and all-round awesome individuals found within agencies, before some press the “eject” button for the wrong reasons…
