What’s included in Megawatt Career Clarity?

My two-pronged, digital-first Career Clarity coaching programme is designed to fit the busiest of agency schedules. A series of video-based, bite-size Career Clarity training sessions are delivered via an online platform, accompanied by regular drop-in virtual gatherings for those who want my support. The end result? Equipping your team with their own inspiring, long-term career plans - created at their own pace.

A separate strand of one-to-one coaching is offered to the whole team over a six-month period - but only for those who want it. This ambassador-driven model means early adopters evangelise to the wider team and word spreads organically about its value. You don’t waste your time and money convincing people to do things they don’t want to do at times when they’re not physically or mentally able to do the work.

What is a Coaching Residency?

On-demand employee access to coaching over a 6-month period: Sessions are booked into my diary by individuals at agreed timeslots. Fully confidential,  I provide an overview of themes and challenges to the business leaders, but I will not share names of any individuals or discuss the specifics of any sessions.

Alongside the one-to-one support, a structured Career Clarity training programme empowers your team to shape their career direction and take more responsibility for their future. The programme includes four core themes and is accessible via a private online platform so employees can digest at their own pace.

A purpose discovery journey involving the team gathering a “portfolio” of insights on who they are, their strengths and their values. This draws out what anchors their focus in comms and inspires them in their current role.

Long-term planning and short-term goals:

An informed and inspiring session designed to drive their thinking about the future of the industry and coax them towards a powerful (and realistic) idea of where they’d like to go that aligns with agency and client needs

Uncover your work persona:

A more holistic approach - I use concepts like manifestation, meditation and shadow work that access powerful insights from the subconscious to uncover deep personal truths and bring big unlocks for their careers. We also tune into information from the body, which can be very calming and provide big unlocks.

Informed by my own life path - When I was 27, I had a Quarter-Life Crisis. I walked into my boss’s office in tears. I was burnt out, confused, overwhelmed, lost and stressed. While I couldn’t find the support I needed to navigate this time, I became obsessed with the challenge of finding meaning and fulfilment in the comms industry. Since then, I’ve supported hundreds of comms professionals to gain clarity with "light bulb moments". The clue's in the name. 😉

  • The Career Clarity Coaching Residency is specifically designed for small-midsize comms and marketing agencies with less than 30 employees. However, if you like what you see and don’t fit this criteria don’t hesitate to get in touch as I can offer bespoke programmes for different scenarios.

  • The support consists of two threads - an agreed number of slots for one-to-one coaching open to anyone in the agency each month to book into my diary. These sessions can address any area that will support the individual in their career.

    The second element is the Career Clarity online training programme, which is available via an online platform for employees to digest at their own speed. This includes workbooks and relevant resources for those who want to go deeper.

  • You’ve no doubt seen how some employees will engage more enthusiastically with training and courses. For others, it can be a waste of their time and investment, if they’re not in the right headspace or don’t want to engage. My approach means that those who want to learn and gain direction on the future of their career will absorb this programme whole-heartedly. And, once they’re invested, the likelihood is they will evangelise to others who will come to it later.

  • The programme is priced in a bespoke way based on your needs and number of employees. However, as a guide, 8 hours of one-to-one coaching a month is £6000 for 6 months, including setup, Q&A, introductory presentation and call booking administration.

    The Career Clarity programme is £3000 in total - that gives all employees access to it via the online platform, plus drop-in session support from me and back-up availability over email.

  • There’s always a chance that personal development will lead to revelations that send an employee on a new tangent that no longer aligns with their role. However, the alternative is they stay there and remain dissatisfied and not fully committed. By helping them discover their true desires, and make decisions with clarity, they will usually develop a more strategic plan that often involves them staying longer and becoming more engaged and committed to their work, rather than triggering the eject button.

  • Absolutely. It can be a great way for me to understand your agency culture and people’s needs. The Career Clarity training is a wonderful addition at any point in the coaching journey.

  • I recommend a 6 month Coaching Residency to make a real impact on the business and its strategic needs and show employees this isn’t just lip service to their support.

    The Career Clarity training is best completed in a timeframe ranging from 2-4 months.

  • All coaching sessions are within office hours. This is because self-development of this kind shouldn’t be something they do at the end of the day when they’re tired and depleted. For the training programme, my suggestion is that you allow the team to work on the modules during working hours - you can set a maximum of 1-2 hours a week if you’re concerned it will take over from client work. The great thing is it is all available for them to stream so they can choose when they do it to fit individual schedules.

  • The programme includes email support from me so they can contact me with questions about the course at any point during a six-month window. I will also review their notes and provide follow-up questions and journalling prompts for those who find this helpful.

  • All sessions are hosted remotely on Zoom. Each session is between 50 minutes and 1 hour. Employees book into my diary directly, making it easy for them to schedule an appointment

I also like to use more alternative methods such as meditations, visualisations, mapping and creative conversations with the subconscious for those who are open to such practices. The best way to approach the experience is with an open mind and as a dialogue where you can provide feedback on what’s resonating, and what’s not.

A personal note from Amy

I’ve worked in comms for nearly 20 years. I know it and love it, but I’ve also experienced a lot of frustration, isolation and pain in my career. Working for agencies , I frequently asked “Why? What is it all for?” I felt I was giving too much - time, energy and headspace - without seeing a positive impact in my life or the wider world. This left me drained, depleted and burnt out. Eventually I realised it wasn’t the industry, the agency or the work doing this to me. It was the missing information about myself.

This led me on a powerful self-development journey involving freelancing from France, training in coaching, expanding into psychodynamic practices and learning how to teach yoga to reconnect with my body.

Over the last 6 years, I’ve built a coaching business that has supported hundreds of comms professionals to many "light bulb moments".
